UFC 256 Prelims on ESPN 2 draws 503,000 viewers

December 15, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC 256 Prelims on ESPN drew 503,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  The 2.5 hour telecast was a precursor to the UFC 256 PPV on Saturday night.

The telecast was shortened 30 minutes due to the cancellation of fights during the week.  The feature fight of the prelims saw Cub Swanson take down Daniel Pineda with a stunning KO for the veteran.

The event drew 0.16 in the A18-49, 0.24 in M18-49, 0.15 in A18-34 and 0.22 in the over 50 category.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings are down from last month’s UFC 255 Prelims on ESPN2. The telecast was moved to the network due to the LSU-Florida game.  Notably, Top Rank Boxing aired after the game and had one of its best ratings of the year scoring over 1.5 million and third overall in cable ratings.
