Friday Night Smackdown down from last week

October 19, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE Friday Night Smackdown drew 1.978 million viewers in the first hour and grew to 1.995 million viewers in the second hour.  The two-hour telecast on Fox drew higher than NBC in the time window as it aired replays of America Ninja Warrior.

Friday Night Smackdown’s audience increased slightly and did well in the A18-49 demo drawing a 0.5 rating (despite being down from 0.6 last week) which was the second highest of the night only to ABC’s Shark Tank.  It also drew a 5 rating in the first hour in the men 18-49 demo.

It’s the first time in three weeks that the ratings have been below 2 million viewers.

Payout Perspective:

Ratings are down this week despite Smackdown fairing well opposite NBC.  But MLB Playoffs on FS1 and TBS may have been a distraction for some viewers Friday.

Dana White is such a MAGA stooge. He runs around every podcast talking about how he’s “not political” and how Donald Trump is “just his friend,” all while asking that same friend to help him write off more gambling losses and throwing him a UFC fight in front of the White House

New: UFC President Dana White has sent a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to help reverse the 90 percent limit on gambling loss deductions for US taxpayers that became law last year.

The issue has been a concern for both bettors and the gambling industry itself.
