UFC on ESPN+35 bonuses

September 13, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN +35 took place on Saturday night at The Apex in Las Vegas with the feature bout receiving the Fight of the Night.  Michelle Waterson edged out Angela Hill in a back and forth fight between the strawweights.

In addition to her $50,000 bonus, Waterson earned her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt as she was ceremoniously given the belt after learning of her victory.

Also earning Performance Bonuses were Ottman Azaitar and Kevin Croom.  Azaitar dispatched of another up and coming fighter Khama Worthy in the first round.  Croom took his fight against Roosevelt Roberts on short notice but was able to win via standing guillotine with just 31 seconds into the first round.

Payout Perspective:

Waterson-Hill could have gone either way as it was that close.  Azaitar proved to be a beast against Worthy and another lightweight to look out for in the future.  Finally, Croom was huge underdog in this fight and pulled off the unlikeliest of upsets on the card last night.
