Conor McGregor has been arrested in Corsica for what is being described as “indecent exposure” per AFP Sport.
Per the report, a complaint was filed against the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion for “acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition.” He was taken into police custody according to the report.
According to MMA Junkie, McGregor was preparing to take part in a charity water bike race from Calvi in Corsica to Monaco alongside Princess Charlene of Monaco to help promote the awareness of water safety. Of course, McGregor was forced to withdraw due to the legal troubles.
A representative for McGregor denied the accusations of misconduct.
Payout Perspective:
The latest legal issue is another blemish on McGregor’s personal brand. The report does sound a little more innocuous than social media tends to project. Yet, its another headache for McGregor who has just one fight in the UFC in 2020 and contends that he is retired.
