PBC on Fox draws 1.019M viewer-average Sunday night

September 10, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

PBC on Fox Sunday night drew 1.019 million viewers in the first hour of its telecast and 1.010 million viewers in the second hour.  The ratings include the overrun from the main event.

The two-hour average was officially 1.019 according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.  It drew 201,000 viewers in the A18-49 demo and a household rating of 0.61.

Also, of note, PBC on FS1 aired an event prior to the Fox telecast and drew 152,000 viewers for a two-hour telecast featuring Cody Crowley and Josh Torres.

PBC on Fox featured Yordenis Ugas as he defeated Abel Ramos via split decision to win the vacant WBA World Welterweight Championship Title.

According to BoxingScene.com, the telecast peaked at 1.260 million viewers during the Ugas-Ramos fight in the first quarter hour of the overrun, 10:00pm-10:15pm.

Payout Perspective:

The Sunday night telecast from LA did well against the NBA and NHL on Sunday night. But you can see the disparity in viewership with the A18-49 demo which reflects the fact that boxing skews to an older demographic.  This was the best ratings for PBC on Fox since its return from the pandemic.
