WWE Friday Night Smackdown shows increase in viewers

August 29, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE Friday Night Smackdown on Fox increased in viewership over last week drawing an average of 2.18 million viewers.

The first hour drew 2.210 while hour two dropped off to 2.151 million viewers.  The demos remained steady with 0.6 in the A18-49 demo, the largest of all networks on Friday and the M18-49 demo was above all other programs on the network.

Notably, despite dropping in viewers it had the most viewers of all networks on Friday night.  A rerun of Shark Tank topped viewership between the 8-10pm time slots.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings should be a positive for WWE as its “Thunderdome” has seemed to boost viewership interest over the past couple weeks.  On a Friday night with relatively low viewership on the network, SmackDown produced an uptick in ratings.
