WWE SmackDown draws over 2M

May 17, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

WWE Friday Night Smackdown on Fox showed a modest gain over last week as the May 15th edition drew 2.03 million in the first hour and 2.055 million in the second hour.

The two-hour telecast actually saw an increase from hour 1 to 2 in its A18-34 demo from 0.3 share to 0.4 share and in the A18-49 from 0.5 to 0.6.  The M18-49 demo drew a 2 share throughout while the over 50 demo earned a 2 share.

ABC’s Shark Tank earned the most viewers on Friday with 4.561 overall viewers.  It also earned the most viewership in the key M18-49 and A18-49 demo.

Payout Perspective:

Some good news for the WWE as it did pick up viewers going into the second hour. Overall, a modest increase of viewers to get over 2 million viewers this week as CBS did not own the night with its usual programming.  The 2 million viewer threshold is getting harder to make for the company as the empty arenas are wearing on the viewership.  The young demo is being siphoned off by ABC’s Shark Tank.
