UFC Brasilia took place Saturday afternoon on ESPN. It was the only live sporting event going today as the rest of the world has called off its events due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The complete six-hour card was shown on the network. Originally, this was going to be an ESPN+ exclusive. The main event saw Charles Oliviera submit Kevin Lee with a guillotine choke. Do Bronx submission earned a Performance Bonus. The other bonus went to Gilbert Burns as he stopped Demian Maia in the co-main event. The Fight of the Night went to Maryna Moroz and Mayra Bueno Silva which was the first fight of the event. Moroz won the battle of the Flyweights.
Payout Perspective:
Saturday was a surreal setting for the event as it was done in an empty arena. The fight card was not a showcase for the UFC although the last three fights provided some excitement. Otherwise prior to that, there was a spate of mundane decision victories.
