UFC 246 attendance, gate and bonuses

January 19, 2020 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC 246 took place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Saturday night and featured the return of Conor McGregor.  As a result, the attendance and gate were exceptional on Saturday night.

According to Dana White, the event drew 19,040 fans for a gate of $11,089,129.30.  It was the second highest gate in UFC history in Vegas coming only second to UFC 229 in October 2018.

There were five bonuses handed out on Saturday with them going to McGregor, Aleksei Oleinik, Brian Kelleher, Diego Ferreira and Drew Dober.  There was not a Fight of the Night although the UFC added an extra bonus for 246.

Payout Perspective:

The question of whether people would show up for McGregor’s return were answered with a resounding yes.  The card was understated aside from the headliner but fans still made it the second-highest gate in UFC history in Vegas.  This is a sign that the UFC and Conor McGregor are back in business.
