UFC signs deal with Snapchat

December 11, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC announced a content deal with Snapchat on Wednesday which commenced this week. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but under the agreement fans of the promotion will get another source for social media content.

According to SportsBusiness.com, at least 200 pieces of content will be made available through Snapchat’s Discover page.  This includes the ‘Embedded’ and ‘UFC Pulse’ franchises.  Pulse will air three times a week and include a preview of the upcoming weekend’s fight card.

Snapchat will collaborate with the UFC on at least 20 Our Stories features which will start featuring this Saturday’s UFC 245.

Payout Perspective:

The UFC previously worked with Snapchat back in June 2016 on a similar content deal.  This one will look to build upon the younger demos using the social media platform.  The deal is another instance of activating the UFC fan base through the use of one of the more popular social media tools out there.
