UFC on ESPN 7 draws 1.071M viewers

December 10, 2019 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

UFC on ESPN 7 scored 1.071 million viewers for its main card on Saturday night and ranked 3rd overall in the key 18-49 adult demo for cable programs.  The prelims drew 696,000 viewers as it preceded the main card on the network.

The event featured Jairzinho Rozenstruik as he stopped Alistair Overeem with under 5 seconds to spare in the 5th round of their match-up.  In the co-main event, Marina Rodriguez and Cynthia Calvillo battled to a draw in a women’s strawweight battle.  The event drew a 0.46 in the A18-49 demo.

The prelims, which started 15 minutes or so later than scheduled due to an overrun from College Football, drew 696,000 viewers.  It drew 0.24 in the A18-49 demo

Payout Perspective:

Considering that Saturday featured conference championships all over the networks, UFC on ESPN did well in garnering over 1 million viewers.  The event did the highest-rated viewership since UFC on ESPN 3 in late June.  There has not been a UFC on ESPN event since this past October’s Friday event from Boston but the viewership spike for this past Saturday is promising as the promotion heads into a PPV week.
