TUF 27 Episode 8 draws 248,000

June 7, 2018 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

TUF 27 Episode 8 drew 248,000 viewers per Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

The episode went up against the NBA Finals on ABC.  The fight of the episode saw Dulani Perry take on Tyler Diamond.  Diamond submitted Perry with a guillotine in the second round. The Team Cormier member moves into the Featherweight semifinals against Jay Cucciniello.

Payout Perspective:

The event was a decrease from last week but improves on last season’s 197,000 for its eighth episode.  Last year’s TUF 25 eighth episode drew 303,000 viewers.  Notably, episodes 5 and 6 saw dramatic increases in DVR viewership with each drawing over 100% the live viewership.  Last week saw the highest viewership after factoring DVR numbers.

Been a big supporter of his, but I’ve seen enough. Heads need to roll to answer for the way this team is performing.

I don’t disagree with the criticism of the quality of the fights here but the amount of time spent rehashing old comments from Rousey & Carano in a sport where open bigots, accused rapist & friends of war criminals & cartel bosses regularly get top billing seems overboard.
