Bellator 186 draws 508,000 viewers on SpikeTV

November 6, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Bellator 186 drew 508,000 viewers on SpikeTV Friday night according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

According to ShowBuzz, it drew 0.18 viewers in the A18-49 demo.  The event, which aired from the campus of Penn St. featured former Nittany Lions Ed Ruth and Phil Davis.  It was headlined by Ryan Bader’s title defense against Linton Vassell.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings are slightly better than the last two and the event may have been caught up behind the hype for the UFC New York card.  Bellator put on a good event and strategically placed it in an arena which would support a couple of its fighters.  Notably, Ed Ruth’s return to University Park was a success with a huge KO over Chris Dempsey.  It’s possible that he could be making his way to a fighter the organization can build into a star.
