Bellator 181 draws 514,000 viewers on Spike TV Friday night

July 17, 2017 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Bellator MMA Live 181 drew 514,000 viewers on Spike TV Friday night according to Nielsen via ShowBuzz Daily.

The event drew 0.17 in the A18-49 demo.

The ratings are the lowest since Bellator’s Saturday afternoon event in April which drew 438,000 viewers. Notwithstanding, it was the lowest rating this year for a Friday or Saturday night card.

The event featured Derek Campos and Brandon Girtz in an entertaining fight. Campos defeated Girtz after the ringside doctors determined that Girtz could no longer fight due to a deep gash in his forehead.

Payout Perspective:

Perhaps a lack of relevant fighters on this card contributed to the low ratings.  Only hardcore Bellator fighters would have known about this event.  With that being said, it was an entertaining night of fights.
