UFC signs deal to become anchor tenant at T-Mobile

March 3, 2017 by Jason Cruz 3 Comments

The Sports Business Daily reports that the UFC has signed a multiyear deal to become an anchor tenant of T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas per sources.  The deal is for more than 7 years and it will host a minimum of four events per year at T-Mobile Arena.

It is expected that the UFC will unveil a banner stating, “Home of UFC,” at the arena.  Its the first MMA organization that has signed such a deal.

Payout Perspective:

It was rumored during construction of the T-Mobile Arena that the UFC was interested in naming rights for the Arena.  It now is anchor tenant for the Arena.  The financial terms were not disclosed but this is good news for the Arena which will house the expansion NHL Vegas Golden Knights next year.  The 4-event minimum likely means that many of the bigger cards will be in Vegas for years to come.
