Tom Lawlor notified of flagged USADA test

November 3, 2016 by Jason Cruz 1 Comment

Tom Lawlor has been notified by USADA that an out-of-competition drug test has been flagged for potential banned substances.  The 33-year-old middleweight is 6-5 in the UFC.

The UFC has issued its standard statement:

The UFC organization was notified today that the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has informed Tom Lawlor of a potential Anti-Doping violation stemming from an out-of-competition sample collected on October 10, 2016. USADA has provisionally suspended Lawlor based on the potential anti-doping violation.

Payout Perspective:

Lawlor is a podcast personality for The Wrestling Observer as well as a pro wrestling fan.  He may have some time on his hands if he is suspended by the UFC.  The 33-year-old could face a two year suspension which would put him in his mid-30s.
