    Something not really mentioned here:

Northcutt fights that ended in decision: 0.

Sterling fights that ended in decision: 4.

Also, anyone who watches their fights would realize that Northcutt is the much more exciting fighter, despite being less talented. This is what sells fights. Go back to the Lindland days when the UFC was marketing Baroni 10x over Lindland obviously not due to talent, but because of Baroni’s finishing ability. Also fighters like Fitch, and many other conservative grinders have always been cut readily due to their boring styles. Fighters like B. Henderson and Sterling fall into that same category.

Guys like Kimbo Slice and Houston Alexander who were very exciting, talent less fighters were making more money and were promoted higher than white fighters who were ranked ahead of them, which proves the common denominator is just exciting fighters.

Yeah, the truth is, if they can make more money from you because you can sell a fight or put on an entertaining performance, they are going to promote you better.

Interesting - in the early 2000s, HBO had to defend "de facto" promoter allegations in front of Congress. If DAZN uses licensed promoters to organize the fights, it's hard to call them a "promoter." SRL signed deals with ABC and HBO without having a promoter, so it's been done.
