MMA Junkie reports that fans in the U.K. and Ireland will have the opportunity to watch UFC Fight Night 76 for free via UFC Fight Pass.
The card, which takes place on October 24th in Dublin, will also be available to free-to-air channels Setanta Ireland and 3e. It will be available in the U.K. via delay on Pick.
The main event features Ireland’s Joseph Duffy taking on Dustin Poirier.
Payout Perspective:
The event is sold out so making it available for free on Fight Pass and through free-to-air channels should help the exposure of the event and promote the UFC brand. The move is a chance for the global expansion of the Fight Pass platform. With the hiring of Eric Winter this past suffer, the platform is seeking additional growth via original content and other enhancements. With the event a sell-out and the UFC growing in the area (thanks in part to Conor McGregor’s success), it’s a great chance for the company to sell Fight Pass to fans.
