Felder, Jordan, Jones and Cormier earn UFC 182 fight bonuses

January 4, 2015 by Jason Cruz 5 Comments

MMA Junkie reports the bonuses for UFC 182.  Paul Felder and his spinning backfist led the list of bonus winners announced after the event.

Felder and Shawn Jordan won the Performance of the Night bonuses while Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier earned the Fight of the Night.  Each drew a $50,000 bonus in addition to their fight purses.

Payout Perspective:

Felder had the most impressive KO of the night with a well-timed backfist that turned out the lights on Danny Castillo.  Jordan took out UFC newcomer Jared Cannonier in the first round and celebrated with a backflip.  Of course, the Fight of the Night was Jones- Cormier as it topped off what was a lackluster PPV main card.

Wow, a $50k bonus for 2 prelim fighters. Boxers who fight on Mayweather’s prelims pay to fight. They can’t afford rent money. Haha.

D- yeah but finacially there is a light at the end of the tunnel if your a Boxer. None if your an MMA fighter. LOL. You must be God to make 3 million a fight. Boxer just has to be good to make that amount. Example Chavez Jr & Carl Froch

HAHAHAHA!! Saldaqueef is getting angry. The boxing troll hates this. Boxers who fight on Mayweather’s prelims fight on food stamps. Haha. They shine their cornerman’s shoes for pennies. HAHAHA!!

    Fightbusiness,

You are right, there is none at the end of the tunnel if you are a mma fighter which is why guys like St Pierre are worth tens of millions. Of course, he doesn’t co promote his events like Mayweather does which is where Floyd makes most of his money from. So why don’t we include what the UFC makes and then look at where the light is at the end of the tunnel. Top Rank/GB don’t generate a fraction of what the ufc does despite what the fag for Arum, Sal claims.

Boxers have to just be good to make 3 million? Okay, then explain to me why the 2 best boxers in the world: Ward & GGG don’t make 3m per fight?
