UFC on Fox 13 ratings adjusted to 2.8M, peak at 3.8M

December 18, 2014 by Jason Cruz 14 Comments

UFC on Fox 13 this past Saturday peaked with 3.8 million viewers during the Junior dos Santos-Stipe Miocic fight.  The overall rating for the 2 and a half hour show, which was adjusted from the overnight rating, was 2.8 million viewers.

It was first in network programming in key demos including men 18-34 (1.2M), men 18-49 (1.4M) and adults 18-34 (1.1M). UFC on Fox 13 drew a 2.27M viewer overnight ratings.

The UFC on Fox 13 Prelims on FS1 Saturday which preceded the network fights drew an average of 654,000 viewers for a 0.58 rating.  The prelims were up 7% from last December’s similarly situated UFC on Fox prelim card which drew 613,000 viewers.

Payout Perspective:

The ratings are identical with last December’s ratings.  This UFC on Fox is usually aided by the NFL boost as the event is promoted on NFL on Fox Football broadcasts.  In contrast to this year’s Heavyweight main event, December 2013 saw Demetrious Johnson defending his Flyweight title against Joseph Benavidez.  UFC on Fox 13 did well in the key demos which should make Fox execs happy.

D- every time I address D (which I didnt do for a while) he eventually acts like a child. D dont talk like a child. Stick to the topic. If after making several points on the topic you occassionaly want to throw a trash talk word fine. I dont want to talk to a guy who acts like he’s 12. stick to the damn topic. i am almost certain you are under 21.

FB you cant reason with a moron, its impossible, a deranged delusional idiot is like having a conversation with a child. That being said D will live with his parents and never move out for the rest of his adult life. Its very obvious he has some serious mental issues and is on tons of medication. He rants all day and night thinking of what to say on MMA PO, he reads it over and over after he posts ii, he scrolls through old posts and stalks other posters, he logs what other posters write, bahahah like who really gives a fuck !! Even when faced with facts he splits hairs like a pathetic mental defect, and he rants about gays like he;s also a molestation victim. D is a sad example of what the UFC will hire as a blogger soo sad and pathetic!!
Double D double bahahahahaha 15 is going to be worse then 14 you wait fuck tard! haha

saldathief- i agree with alot of your fight viewpoints but using words like bahaha & fucktard every second post doesnt help your case either and will motivate D to never get the medication he so desperately needs. I assume you’re under 21 as well. Just limit the childishness on all sides. occassional trash talk is ok but childish trash talk is stupid. I do share your disdain for pink pig though. I can say that because Pink Pig is not an active person on this post.

FIghbusiness, you make no points. Every statistic you present is false, every claim you make is idiotic. You are saying the UFC is dead, yet you dedicate countless posts and read nearly every article on a website that is dedicated to following the sport of mma and its biggest promoter. You are an idiot who just hates being called out on your bullshit.

Sal, you are the very definition of a moron. You make absurd statements like the UFC is corporation and then when people call you out on your moronic claims, you just spew more. You don’t know anything about these subjects. You can’t do basic math. You are the biggest idiot alive.

No one needs meds more than you. You are a 50 year old on welfare freak, that lives in his parent’s basement, who rants non stop incoherently about a sport that you hate similar to fightbusiness. It just makes you look like the nut job freak. Bob Arum must be proud. He also is probably raping you as we speak you freak.

FB, you are in no position to call anyone childish when you end a post with “The UFC is still dying”. There is companies not dying that have lost millions. Yet the UFC is still turning massive profits, are in the midst of a planned rebuilding era with new divisions, more events and fighters and new countries, have changed networks whch always hurts and moved to a brand new network which is a huge obstacle. To stay profitable during this and the injuries is a huge feather In their cap.

There is nothing to suggest they are dying. Yes they have dipped in ratings and ppv sales in the US. A decline in a year in a single country and still profitable is hardly dying.

You would make a great stock broker. Claiming the sky is falling for every company who doesn’t set a new 52 week high. BTW McDonalds sales were down this year. I guess that means they are about to go under…

The UFC’s profits are down 40% and they are still making large enough profits to upscale their international expansion. Fightpass is a long term investment which will bare fruit eventually.

The lawsuit against the UFC will probably use this fact to argue their case. The UFC is far from dying. Quite the opposite really. You would realise that if you stopped focusing solely on nielsen ratings in the USA. The English Premier League (soccer) makes most of it’s money abroad. Also the NFL is investing huge sums of money in international expansion.

just something to take into consideration.
