UFC Fight Night 54 attendance gate and bonuses

October 5, 2014 by Jason Cruz 10 Comments

MMA Junkie reports that UFC Fight Night 54 from Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada drew 10,782 fans for a gate of $926,000.  In addition, Rory MacDonald led the list of bonus recipients.

UFC Fight Night 54 was the second UFC event on Saturday and took place at Halifax Metro Centre in Nova Scotia, Canada.  No comp information was released.

In addition to MacDonald winning a performance bonus for his KO of Tarec Saffiedine, bonuses of $50,000 each were given to Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Chad Kelades and Patrick Holohan.  Kelades and Holohan earned the Fight of the Night.

Payout Perspective:

Most of us who were out and set our DVRs to FS1 will be looking for the re-runs for this.  Kelades and Holohan was on FS2, but the bulk of the rest of the card was on FX due to the extra, extra inning game played between the Giants and Nationals. FS1 did switch back at the start of the Bryan Caraway-Raphael Assuncao.

Correction, MacDonald headlined this one, but the rest of the card was awful. Definitely a profitable event.

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!

SalDAMORON: “Hhahahah 2 million gate with 5 million in promotion and marketing, bahahahahha”

Source?? And your delusional mind doesn’t count as a source. It is funny how much bullshit Sal spews everywhere with no evidence to back up anything he says. The fighter payouts were very low for both of these cards. Millions to promote a bs card in Sweden with Rick Story as a headliner??? Laughable. It cost them probably significantly less than a million to promote that card. You are delusional. You have no clue how much they put into advertising. Even for major ppv fights they don’t put a ton of money into. And it is very minimal for free shows on fight pass abroad. You can’t be this idiotic, can you?
