Belfort license allows Belfort-Weidman at UFC 181

July 23, 2014 by Jason Cruz 16 Comments

Vitor Belfort was granted a conditional license by the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Wednesday.  The issuance of the license allowed the UFC to announce Belfort-Chris Weidman at UFC 181 set for December 6th in Las Vegas.

With his attorney, Belfort appeared at the Commission hearing to discuss the application for license.  The Commission asked Belfort about a failed February 7th test for testosterone.  He claims he took a larger dose the day before to compensate for missing his biweekly prescribed TRT treatment due to traveling.

Granting Belfort his license came with conditions.  Namely, the commission could test Belfort extensively including blood and urine for the rest of the career.  Belfort would have to pay for the testing.

The commission voted unanimously to give a conditional license to Belfort.

Payout Perspective:

For those wondering, Belfort’s attorney Michael Alonso, works at the same firm that represents the UFC in other matters.  Belfort was told the day before the hearing that he’d have the shot against Weidman so I do not know if there was a feeling that despite his second failed drug test; Belfort would be issued a license.

Was the punishment fair?  Belfort will have to stay clean with the extensive drug testing and with him paying for this the commission will not have to expend additional resources here.  The announcement of the fight seemed almost instant after the license was granted.  I realize the UFC talked with Belfort (and Weidman) about the fight but it seemed interesting timing.

Nice!!!! Another big fight coming up in 2013 for the UFC. This will do much bigger numbers than Weidman-Machida.

This should be a great card, lets hope Belfort can pass any tests they give him and no one gets injured. I think Belfort is a steroid abuser who has burned his system up and will have a hard time training without drugs.

    Interesting timing indeed.

I am not going to lie, I’m looking forward to the fight and you can bet is going to be the UFC’s biggest & most controversial fight of 2014. But one thing is for sure… this whole UFC/NSAC revolving door is disgusting to see, the whole hearing was a disgrace and here we are with another well-known and blatant cheater ala Chael Sonnen in such a high profile fight.

Belfort has had success off of the juice and is still as dangerous an opponent as Weidman will face. When Belfort ko’d Martin, Franklin and Lindland he wasn’t cheating at all. He won’t have a hard time training, but he won’t have super human abilities like when he fought Rockhold, etc.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU STUPID FUCK!!! Go watch those fights. His chest looked like a wet blanket. He didn’t have an ounce of muscle tone. He was taking nothing. He went from being built like a brick shit house to looking like a guy who didn’t even train for the fight.

Of course Belfort has been on juice, just not for those fights. Go find them online seeing how you obviously never watched them. Either that or you are too stupid to realize when someone stops using peds.

D once again you are talking out your dumb ass , you never have trained and only know what you read. You showed you know nothing by stating that physical size is a determination of ped’s, Size , or muscle tone, is only a very small indicator with fighters, its not bodybuilding, look at sonnon did he look juiced you moron ass clown. You are a comic book researcher bahahahahah no real sports experience in any way, I can tell you never participated in any sports competitively. nice try muscle tone lol you amateur

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I’ve trained for years in some of the best gyms you could imagine. You are just an idiot and are pissed I called you out on your bullshit!

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! YOU GODDAMN MORON!!! If you don’t think your physique is altered from using PEDs, you have to be 10x dumber than I already think you are. Do you have any concept of what happens when someone uses a PED? What do you think they do, take winstral or epo and don’t lift weights? Depending on what they are taking, it gives them increased strength, recovery time, overall improvement in workout, etc. It doesn’t work where you just take it and then you become the HULK. Do you grasp what cycling off is idiot?

Yes, Sonnen did look juiced. If you go back and take a look at him from years ago, he looked significantly softer and smaller. As a matter of fact, he would move up to fight guys at 205lbs and weigh in under 200lbs. I remember when he fought Babalu a while back this was the case.

You are a geriatric diabetic who even when he was young was breaking boards with a belly!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You wouldn’t be able to hang in the gyms I trained in for a minute.

    You homo!

Hey fuck stick did most of the major league baseball players look juiced? A Rod?
steroids and ped are not necessarily used to build bulk.. bahahhaa yea sure you train. jerking off doesn’t count as training bahahahha

Yeah, they did you fucking idiot. How much lean muscle did A ROD gain? How much weight from his early days? How about Barry Bonds? He went from 165lbs to 265lbs of solid muscle. I can’t believe you are actually publicly making statements like this because it is so incredibly stupid. What do you think these guys do, take roids/other peds and not workout?

I never said they always gain bulk, however many do, my point was their physique changes drastically which is what happened with Belfort. Look at him from those fights and then look at him prior when he fought Marvin Eastman and then after when he fought Rockhold, etc. You can’t be this dumb.

You just yet again proved how much of a dumb fucking idiot you are.

I would say all you do is jerk off, but I doubt you can achieve an erection. You probably wear diapers and are in a wheel chair.
