def. Bart Palaszewski: $12,000

Darren Uyenoyama: $16,000 (includes $8,000 win bonus)
def. Phil Harris: $8,000

Payout Perspective:

The gate for the event was $358,000 and the total payroll was $538,000.  This is not out of the ordinary but it is interesting to note that the event is at a deficit comparing gate to payroll alone.

You’re correct that it’s not unusual. Case in point, the Donaire – Nishioka world championship fight on HBO last Saturday drew a live gate of around $430,000. I’ve heard that Donaire and Nishioka combined for well over $1.5 million in salary for just those two. Both these HBO cards and the UFC on FX deals are making out really well, though, due to the payouts television payouts.

Every sport is ran by television.

    Not just fighting sports.

I dont think the UFC wants Jay Hieron anywhere near its better fighters. He got paid 12k to fight The Juggernaut?! That’s not exactly a warm up fight! This was after stalling out his Strikeforce title fight cuz they didnt want him to lay on Diaz for 25 minutes a la Joe Riggs.
