UFC 137 Prelims: 1.1 million viewers

November 2, 2011 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Junkie reports that the UFC 137 Prelims on Spike TV received a disappointing 1.1 million viewers. The rating is the second lowest on Spike TV with UFC 136 being the lowest.

Via MMA Junkie:

Of the 24 “UFC Prelims” specials Spike TV has aired to date, UFC 137’s tied for the second-worst ratings overall. It scored a 0.89 rating among men 18-49 and a 0.85 among men 18-34.

Payout Perspective:

It looks like the UFC-Spike TV relationship is going out with a whimper. While the highest rated prelims show occurred this February, the lowest ratings came last month with UFC 136 and 137. I’m not sure if the low ratings are related to college football, Halloween plans or the perceived saturation of MMA on television. The ratings definitely reflect a considerable drop.
