Digital media company partners with GSP to make RUSHFIT

January 8, 2011 by Jason Cruz 1 Comment

Vancouver-based Digital Shelf Space Partners  has been granted the rights to Georges St. Pierre’s brand for use in the production of 6 workout DVDs featuring the welterweight champion. The digital media company is an independent producer and online distributor of home entertainment. The DVD workout series is being called RUSHFIT.

The web site is offering a special offer as DVDs are priced at $59.99 for 4 DVDs or $69.99 for the 8 week training program. The DVD titles include: Strength & Endurance, Abdominal Strength & Core, the Fight Conditioning workout and Explosive Power Training.

Via the Digital Shelf Space’s press release:

The home DVD workout series was designed specifically with MMA fans in mind. Digital Shelf Space’s decision to partner with GSP was largely rooted in his wide appeal and global MMA fan base. The home-based fitness program is based on body weight intensive circuit training that incorporates MMA-style conditioning exercises. The workouts focus on building muscle, cutting weight and getting in shape.

Payout Perspective:

The workout DVDs look to compete with the P90x workout craze. But, the DVDs are marketed toward MMA fans as many ads have been placed with MMA programming. For GSP, the workout DVDs is a relevant extension of the GSP brand. Obviously, no one can work out like GSP, but the workout DVDs allow MMA fans a chance to feel like they are getting  in shape like GSP.  For Digital Shelf, this is a great opportunity to align itself with a well-known commodity in GSP.
