UFC VP of Sponsorship Set to Depart

October 7, 2010 by Kelsey Philpott 4 Comments

MMAPayout.com has learned that UFC VP of Sponsorship Sales, Michael Pine, will be leaving the organization next month in order to pursue an opportunity with international triathlon company, Ironman.

Payout Perspective:

Mike Pine is a tremendous asset to the UFC and I’m sad to see him go. He was the man responsible for the UFC locking up both Harley Davidson and Bud Light as its first two blue chip sponsors. Pine then went on to bring brands like Burger King, US Marines, Miller Lite, BSN, and AMP Energy, and more, into the Octagon. I cannot speculate as to why he’s chosen to leave the UFC, but I wish him all the best at Ironman and in his career moving forward.

With the type of people the UFC has been filling holes with I don’t see much reason to fret over this. They got a great guy for the big job in Canada and probably one of the top guys they could have hoped to get for the big job in China. So at this point I got pretty good faith in them that they will find an excellent replacement to fill the position.

Trump is graded on such a big curve. I’ve never seen anything like it. Dude is incoherent, racist, has numerous visible health problems including being so old that he falls asleep on camera all the time, and started a war that has made everything worse for everyone. And yet.
