TUF 10, Episode 4: 2.2 HH

October 8, 2009 by Kelsey Philpott Leave a Comment

MMAPayout.com has learned that Episode 4 of TUF 10 earned a 2.2 household rating last night for an average viewership of 2.8 million viewers.

TUF was the highest rated television program in the nation with respect to males aged 18-34 – scoring a rating of 3.8 with 1.1 million viewers. The show also garnered a strong 2.4 amongst males 18-49.

Quarter hours as follows: 2.07, 2.21, 2.10, 2.35

Payout Perspective:

Here are the ratings throughout the first four episodes this season:

  Overall M18-34 M18-49
Episode 1 2.9 5.3 4.3
Episode 2 2.2 4.2 3.2
Episode 3 3.7 6.9 5.4
Episode 4 2.2 3.8 2.4

The short-term implications of the ratings are solid – attention, ROI for sponsors, possible future interest in the product, etc. – but the real point of interest is the long-term concern as to whether the UFC will be able to capitalize on the show’s popularity by converting TUF viewers to PPV buyers.
