UFC and Joe Hand Promotions Extend Agreement

UFC® Maintains Joe Hand Promotions as Exclusive Distributor of UFC Events on Closed Circuit TV/Pay-Per-View for Commercial Establishments in the United States

PHILADELPHIA, PA – Ultimate Fighting Championship® organization and Joe Hand Promotions, Inc. today announced an extension of their closed circuit television/Pay-Per-View agreement. In a multi-year deal, UFC® will maintain Joe Hand Promotions as its exclusive commercial distributor in the United States.

“UFC is the biggest closed-circuit business in history, and it continues to grow year after year,” said Dana White, UFC President. “We look forward to working with Joe Hand, Sr., Joe Jr., and their entire team as we increase our success in the pay-per-view and closed-circuit industries.”

“We are honored to be the exclusive commercial distributor of UFC – the most exciting live sports event in the world,” stated Hand, Jr. “We are excited to continue making UFC events available to fight fans inside sports bars, casinos and restaurants throughout the United States.”

The Ultimate Fighting Championship, the fastest growing mainstream sports organization in history, granted Joe Hand Promotions commercial distribution rights for the United States in 2001.

UFC live Pay-Per-View events take place at preeminent destinations including STAPLES Center, MGM Grand, Lanxess Arena, Wachovia Center, and the O2 Arena, and consistently draw sell-out crowds with record-breaking gates. Presenting over twelve pay-per-view events per year, UFC is the world’s largest live Pay-Per-View event content provider.

Joe Hand Promotions has provided commercial establishments with sports and entertainment programming for over 37 years, including UFC 100 (Lesnar vs. Mir 2), De La Hoya vs. Mayweather, UFC 94 (St-Pierre vs. Penn 2), Tyson vs. Lewis, Tyson vs. Holyfield & UFC 97 (Liddell vs. Shogun).
