UFC on Fox 14 draws 2.82M, wins time slot

January 25, 2015 by Jason Cruz 31 Comments

Television By Numbers reports that UFC on Fox 14 on Saturday drew an overnight rating of 2.82 million viewers, 1.1 rating (18-49 year olds) and 4 share.  It won its time slot on Saturday night.

UFC on Fox 14 aired on Fox from 8:00-10:00pm ET and due to the first round stoppage in the main event, there was no overrun.  UFC won its network time slot on Saturday night.  It went up against an ABC kid’s movie, “Mirror/Mirror,” a rerun of CSI on CBS and Figure Skating on NBC.

UFC on Fox Ratings

UFC on Fox 1: 5.7 million

UFC on Fox 2: 4.57 million

UFC on Fox 3: 2.25 million

UFC on Fox 4: 2.36 million

UFC on Fox 5: 3.41 million

UFC on Fox 6: 4.22 million

UFC on Fox 7: 3.3 million

UFC on Fox 8: 2.38 million

UFC on Fox 9: 2.9 million

UFC on Fox 10: 3.22 million

UFC on Fox 11: 1.98 million

UFC on Fox 12: 2.5 million

UFC on Fox 13: 2.27 million

UFC on Fox 14: 2.82 million

UFC on Fox 14 ratings

Payout Perspective:

The good news is that the UFC won its time slot against less than stiff competition.  It is also up 22 percent from UFC on Fox 13 in the 18-49 demo.  The 2 hour show featured 3 stoppages so there was no overrun this time around.  Thus, the ratings will likely see a big increase.  The bad news is that the ratings are off from last year’s UFC on Fox 10 which aired last January.  That show which featured Benson Henderson vs. Josh Thopmson drew 3.2 million viewers. In 2013, January’s UFC on Fox 6 drew 4.2 million viewers which featured Demetrious Johnson vs. John Dodson.  The first January UFC drew 4.57 million viewers.  MMA Payout will have more on the ratings in the days to come.

Hahaha. Leon the Schmo is on the Sal diet of retard. Also, it isn’t going to matter if Jones-Gus II happens this year. There are too many big fights coming up that you are going to be shitting a brick for. I can’t wait until you fucking cry and come up with every excuse when they hit 5m. Even the shit shows they have this year are going to be way bigger this year than last because they are loading up the undercards. Go look at what Dillashaw-Barao II is looking like. You are so desperate for injuries it is unbelievable. You better pray for them and Silva losing this fight against Diaz.

What are the big fights coming up? Gustaf vs Jones, nope. Loading up the undercard does shit, are you a rookie to MMA? They barely got 200k with a loaded undercard with Mcgregor last fall! Headliners sell.. Period.

Ds 2nd biggest fight of the year ain’t happening now he had to change his xl tampon ahahah lol.

Trolls are really worried now. The if. Just traded a European draw for an American draw which will reflect on ratings and PPV sales that Gus doesn’t. Jones Johnson will be bigger here. Then there is possible rematch with Gus by either guy. Unlike boxing people are actually watching all this unfold rather than just one guy with a belt. In the ufc everyone is watched by millions. Not so in boxing!

Leon The Schmo, they’ve got a ton of fights coming up. You are just too stupid to realize.

    -Jones vs. Johnson
    -McGregor vs. Aldo
    -Velasquez vs. Werdum
    -Weidman vs. Belfort
    -Silva vs. Diaz

and even the low profile fights are still going to draw decent numbers like Hendricks vs Lawler III, Barao-Dillashaw II, etc.

    Possible Weidman vs. Silva III
    CM Punk fights
    Lesnar, GSP possibly come back

At this point, what you have to be banking on are injuries for multiple headlining fights so that D. Johnson fills in and they only draw 100k buys. Because otherwise, you are completely fucked.

This is going to be funny watch you squirm as they hit 2m after 2 months. LEON THE SCHMO!!!!!

With all due respect, this post has a fairly notable error: UFC on Fox 10 did a 2.55 in the overnights, below UFC on Fox 14. You compared this overnight to UFC on Fox 10’s final ratings, which is very misleading.

You did the same thing with your chart. Overnights must be compared to overnights, final numbers to final numbers.

The UFC on Fox 14 final numbers should come out tomorrow.

Boxing has been dead. The have 2 fighters who can draw and neither is drawing based on boxing being successful. Pacman is/was drawing based on his nationality. FMJ had to go on the WWE to tap into their fan base. HE also had to run his mouth and pull off a bunch of publicity stunts to draw in mainstream viewers. These are not boxing fans. The rest of the boxers are living and dying on real boxing fans and there just isn’t many of them. Which is why none of them can sell a PPV or draw tv ratings. The UFC ratings and their PPV sales are based on just the success of the sport of MMA.

-Jones vs. Johnson … JBJ hasn’t drawn big outside of grudge matches – Glover and Gustaf were in low 300s
-McGregor vs. Aldo….. could go either way, Aldo is a horrible draw, light classes aren’t popular, but McGregor is on the rise
-Velasquez vs. Werdum… low 300s if their lucky
-Weidman/Ronda vs. Belfort….last one did 545 on fight weekend so I’d say = or less
    -Silva vs. Diaz.

and even the low profile fights are still going to draw decent numbers like
    Hendricks vs Lawler III- 300s
    Barao-Dillashaw II,- LOL

This is what have to hope for to win this bet lol:

    Possible Weidman vs. Silva III
    CM Punk fights
    Lesnar, GSP possibly come back

No, when the fans think that Jones can lose….they buy the ppv.

Jones vs Johnson will without question outdraw Glover and no one even know who Gus was when that fight happened, no one gave either one of those guys a chance.

-McGregor is a massive draw and he is fighting the champ. This is going to be a very big fight.

-Velasquez vs. Werdum, this will not be huge, but you exaggerate everything. Werdum will draw more buys than bigfoot.

-Weidman vs Belfort/+ Rousey, probably do around 550 maybe a little more because Belfort is a bigger draw than Machida.

    -Barao-Dillashaw II,- LOL

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this fight did over 300k buys. And this is the low end ppv this year, unless those injuries roll in.

“This is what have to hope for to win this bet lol:
    Possible Weidman vs. Silva III
    CM Punk fights
    Lesnar, GSP possibly come back”

This incoherent. What were you getting at there Leon the Retarded Schmo?

You are already getting desperate. You are exaggerating your figures based on history, which means you are already know you are fucked without those injuries. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Only Sal would think Showtime subscribers are paying specifically for boxing. A very small percentage of them pay specifically for the boxing. Most people get HBO/Showtime because of the movies/tv. Sal is a retard. He is probably just made he predicted the last ufc ppv would do 300k buys and it more than doubled his retarded prediction. He is a gay, deficient, boxing paid troll.

    Okay…

Not too quick over there are you d’lusional? You have to pray that GSP/Lesnar comes back to win this bet lol.

My figures are correct, Velasquez does shit numbers for a HW champ, and Jones last 2 fights (before DC) were low 300s. Also Rumble Johnson isn’t some big proven draw either. Talk about exaggerating d’lusional?! HA

If boxing is dead then mma isnt even a sport hahaha. I guess even with tons of evidence and facts morons cant grasp the truth. how pathetic. I guess thats it for boxing as soon as Floyd is done, oh wait they said that about every major boxing draw since the 1920’s. So stupidity still exists. Didn’t Dana say boxing was dead?

Leon the Schmo, I don’t have to pray for anything. Everything has started out great this year.

Your figures are delusional. You are saying Werdum-Velasquez is going to do less than Bigfoot-Velasquez. Jones last two fights prior were against low profile fighters who no one thought had a legit chance. This one people believe Johnson can win.

Your exaggerations are a clear example of desperation. You are beyond a pathetic twat. This is amusing watching you squirm. What are your prediction for the Silva-Diaz fight? I’m gonna laugh when it goes above your expectations and you are 0-2 on predictions to start the year. Hahaha. Moron.

The truth is that MMA has already peaked.
The UFC isn’t getting new fans anymore.
What is happening is that the UFC has its fan base. When you see 170k ppv sales, that’s their diehard fan base.
When you see 750k, you’re simply seeing the old fanbase come back to see what the hype is.
Jones-Cormier didnt make any non UFC fans get interested and buy the ppv.
It simply made the fan who stopped watching 3-4 years ago, come back around and buy the ppv.
That is what they are banking on with Silva and Jones.
You’re a fool if you think some dude is getting into the UFC now simply because of Silvas return or whatever.
    Its not happening.

Blame whoever but the UFC was never going to last due to who their true fans were.
If you were a boxing fan at 13, more than not you will be a boxing fan at 33.
If you were a UFC fan at 13, you probably didnt watch it after 23.

Thats the truth. You can say whatever you want D but that simply is what happened.
Every boxing fan I ever met when I was young, still follows the sport.
Mostly every UFC fan that Ive known has either got bored with it or simply says it sucks now.

Brainsmasher claimed that Mayweather had to tap into the WWE fanbase.
What about Lesnar, CM Punk, Ken Shamrock? That seems more like tapping into a fanbase.
If were talking MMA as a whole, then Bobby Lashley, Bautista, other ones im probably not aware of.

    Boxing dead?
How many boxers will make over $1mil a fight this year?
How many UFC fighters will make over $1mil a fight this year?

How many boxers will make over $500k for a fight this year?
How many UFC fighters will make over $500k a fight this year?

More boxers will make over $1mil a fight then UFC fighters making over $100k a fight.

    Look it up.
