MMA Junkie reports the salaries for UFC 177 as disclosed by the California State Athletic Commission. T.J. Dillashaw was the top earner for the night with $150,000 ($50K to show, $50 to win and $50K performance bonus).

Payout Perspective:
Dillashaw’s base salary of $50,000 is a dramatic step up ($18K base plus $18K win = $36K) from UFC 173 when he took the title from Barao. Dana White stated that Barao would not be paid for pulling out late. At UFC 173, Barao had a base of $74,000. Not only did Barao lose his title fight, he lost out on a nice payday. It’s interesting to note that no other fighter had a show purse more than $22,000 (Brunson).
For once these payout numbers seem about right for the level of the show. Too bad they don’t reflect the amount of money the UFC spent and lost on this one. But they don’t care Dana still gets his 10 million a year salary for being the UFC paid front clown. I hope you saved your money Dana dark times are on the way for you!

They cant sell it because its a house of smoke and mirrors, they will never open their books to a buyer because they have been burning through the assets and cant show a profit. But don’t get it wrong Zuffa and friends have been paying themselves multi million dollar salaries and have been borrowing through the roof to keep the glass ship afloat. They have also been contracting to companies that they own or have interests in. The world expansion was a last ditch effort to make some quick revenue and get noticed by a foreign buyer, they figured they could sell foreign rights away. Its not working! Meanwhile they have lost half of their main income PPV and are scrambling to keep themselves in the game. The funny thing is they could have been very successful if they planed to adjust to the market instead they tried to create a market that doesn’t exist. You can only parlay something so many times. 2014 is basically over for them, it will be interesting to see what happens in 2015, I see a sudden change in their attitude and I wouldn’t be surprised if they have some major personal changes, only a group of morons would keep it the way its going.
