Silva featured in Budweiser commercial for UFC 134

August 17, 2011 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Anderson Silva is featured in a brief Budweiser commercial in leadup to UFC 134. Silva is racking up the mainstream sponsors for UFC 134 which already include Burger King and Nike in addition to a Brazilian soccer team.

The short commercial entitled “Anderson Silva vs  the Machine” has Silva delivering an elbow strike to a Budweiser can on the hood of a car only to discover the can does not crumple.

Payout Perspective:

Silva’s string of mainstream sponsors shows the popularity of the fighter and the importance of the UFC returning to Brazil. With mainstream sponsors gravitating toward Silva, it will be interesting to see how many mainstream brands look to sponsor other fighters at UFC 134. Depending on his performance on August 27th, Silva’s earning potential could skyrocket considering the UFC”s new network agreement with FOX.
