Harrison out of UFC 324

January 15, 2026 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Kayla Harrison is out of her title fight against Amanda Nunes due to a neck injury. Nunes will not fight on the first UFC card of the Paramount era.

Harrison made the injury announcement on her Instagram stating that she had surgery to repair her neck. There was no detail on how she suffered the injury.

As a result, the fight between Sean O’Malley and Song Yadong will be elevated to the co-main event. The Rose Namajunas-Natalia Silva fight will now be on the main card.

Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje will fight in the main event.

Dana White had hyped the fight between Harrison and Nunes as the biggest in women’s MMA history.

The event is set to take place on January 24th from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
