Conor McGregor issued CSAD suspension

October 7, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Combat Sports Anti-Doping (CSAD), the drug test regulator for the UFC has issued an 18-month ban for violating the promotion’s anti-doping policy. McGregor violated the whereabouts policy as he had not reported to drug collections.

McGregor missed three sample collections within a 12-month period in 2024. McGregor did not provide accurate whereabouts information at all times. McGregor did not make tests scheduled on June 13, September 19, and September 20, 2024.

CSAD noted that it reduced the suspension from 24 months to 16 months because McGregor “fully cooperated with the investigation.” Also, he was recovering from injury so he “was not preparing for an upcoming fight at the time of the three missed tests.”

The suspension began on September 20, 2024 and concludes on March 20, 2026. The suspension will not impact McGregor’s efforts to broker a fight at The White House next year which is scheduled (according to the president) for June 14, 2026 ( a Sunday.
