Canelo-Crawford to stream live globally on Netflix

June 10, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Dana White and Turki Alalshikh announced on Tuesday that the much-anticipated fight between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford will stream on Netflix worldwide on Saturday, September 13th.

While no location has been announced, it appears that White’s Zuffa Boxing may finally come to fruition as White, Alalshikh and Sela will be promoting the fight per a joint press release.

There will be a three-city press tour to promote the fight. The first leg of the tour will occur on Friday, June 20th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will then make a stop in New York on Sunday, June 22 as part of Fanatics Fest. It will then culminate on Friday, June 27th as part of UFC International Fight Week. UFC 317 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on June 28th.

The announcement ends speculation that White would be left out of promoting this card. Certainly, this fight card was going to be handled by Riyadh Season and White would do the day-to-day activities in promoting and producing the rest.

With Netflix tied to the event, the speculation can start to brew (even more than before) that the UFC may work with Netflix on its next media deal. Also, Netflix commitment to airing live sports is a reality as this will be at least the third (Tyson-Paul, Serrano-Taylor and Crawford-Canelo) streamed fight it will air in addition to NFL games it has secured.
