6 boxers make top 100 highest paid in 2024

February 14, 2025 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Sportico compiled a list of the top 100 highest paid athletes in 2025. Tyson Fury was the top boxer making the list at #3 with 5 others making the list. There were no UFC fighters on the list.

Fury followed soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo and Golden State Warrior Steph Curry. Fury earned $147 million in 2024 for his two fights against Oleksander Usyk. $7 million of it was through endorsements. Usyk followed Fury at number 7 with $122 million and just $2 million in endorsements.

Canelo Alvarez came in at number 20 with $75 million for his two fights and $8 million in endorsements. 10 spots later Anthony Joshua came in at 30 with $60 million and $10 million in endorsements.

Jake Paul came in at 52 making $48 million in 2024 including $10 million in endorsements.

At 81, Naoya Inoue chimed in making $42 million and $7 million in endorsements.

Payout Perspective:

Based on the numbers provided by Sportico, Fury averaged $70 million per fight purse while Usyk made $60 million. Notably, both of their fights were in the Middle East which suggests that we may see more fights being held in the region if the money is more. Hard to fathom that Paul made $48 million with 3 fights in 2024. Of course, the bulk of the money he made was from the Mike Tyson fight in November this past year.

Canelo Alvarez is still a draw with $75 million made between 2 fights in Vegas.
