Conor McGregor civil rape trial enters day 2

November 6, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Conor McGregor is on trial in a civil court in Ireland for an alleged sexual assault that occurred in December 2018. McGregor contends that the sexual encounter was consensual and that she is attempting to extort the MMA star.

The woman, known as Nikita Hand, claims that McGregor choked her three times and she thought that she was going to die.

In 2020, Ireland’s Director of Public Prosecutions decided not to criminally prosecute McGregor or James Lawrence due to a lack of evidence.

According to a recounting of the testimony from the BBC, Ms. Hand and a friend were out at a Christmas party. They were both intoxicated and used cocaine when they met McGregor and Lawrence. They went to the penthouse suite in the Beacon Hotel where McGregor pulled out a bag of cocaine for them to use. McGregor and Lawrence allegedly took their turns with Ms. Hand.

Ms. Hand has been unable to work due to mental health issues and is living on a disability allowance.
