DAZN signs up BareKnuckle Fighting

September 13, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Adam Stern of the Sports Business Journal reports that DAZN has signed up BareKnuckle FC to a 3 year media rights deal. BKFC CEO Dave Feldman says the deal is in the high seven-figures.

Notably, Conor McGregor became an investor this past year which elevated the brand due to the former UFC champions’ star power.

Payout Perspective:

I will be honest, I did not Bare Knuckle FC would go anywhere due to the perceived violence of fighting without gloves. Moreover, many of the fighters are not known to anyone. However, Mike Perry has elevated his combat sports career by engaging in several entertaining fights. DAZN, likely looking for more content for its subscription base believes that this is the way to do. Realistically, the funnel of former MMA/Boxers not willing to retire are seeking fights and this may be an avenue to remain active.

.@DAZNGroup today is announcing a new three-year media rights deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (@BareKnuckleFC), as the property that Conor McGregor is an investor in gains momentum.
