Tsarukyan fined and suspended for UFC 300 pre-fight altercation

June 25, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Arman Tsarukyan has been fined $25K and suspended nine months for a pre-fight altercation with a fan at UFC 300. His suspension can be reduced if he takes an anti-bullying PSA video.

Tsarukyan’s suspension stems from throwing a punch during his walkout for his fight against Charles Oliveira on April 13th.

The Nevada Athletic Commission issued the ruling at its monthly meeting on Tuesday.

Tsarukyan was fined $25,000 plus fees of $471.12 for the incident. He defeated Oliveira at UFC 300. Tsarukyan will be available January 12, 2025 if he completes the anti-bullying PSA.

He is currently the #1 contender to the UFC lightweight title according to the UFC rankings.

A vote is not expected during Friday’s DI Cabinet call regarding the NCAA’s proposed 5-year, age-based eligibility rule. Discussion on the topic is expected to continue with action now anticipated at their next meeting the week of June 22.

Overwhelming support remains.
