According to Wrestlenomics, the U.S. Attorney has entered an appearance in the Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon. The case is stayed (put on hold) pending an investigation by the U.S. Attorney.
An Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York has filed a notice of appearance in the Grant v. WWE, McMahon, Laurinaitis case.

It’s worthy to note that there are two sealed documents that were filed in addition to the Notice of Appearance by the U.S. Attorney. According to Bloomberg, the AG is doing its own investigation into McMahon and the sexual misconduct and trafficking claims alleged by Grant. Grant has allowed the AG to halt her civil case as they conduct its investigation.
Payout Perspective:
This isn’t good news for McMahon. It could be that the AG finds nothing on him, but one might infer that it is investigating him it means they have reasonable belief they will find something. This could impact WWE (and also TKO) if it is discovered that high-ranking officials knew of McMahon’s misconduct and did nothing about it. MPO will continue to follow.
