WWE brokers deal with NBCU to broadcast Raw on USA Network for rest of the year

May 9, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The TKO Group announced its earnings for the first quarter of 2024 on Wednesday. Results were better than expected raising expectations for the rest of the year.

WWE announced that it extended its media deal with NBC Universal to air Monday Right Raw on the USA Network for the rest of the year. The agreement was set to expire in September 2024. But, with the extension announced on Wednesday, the 3 hour wrestling program will remain on the USA Network through December 2024. The deal is valued at $25 million.

WWE will be heading to Netflix in 2025 as part of a massive media deal spanning 10 years valued at $5 billion.

Payout Perspective:

To be honest, I’m not sure where WWE would have gone if a deal was not brokered for the remaining 3 months. But, $25 million for 3 months seems like a premium for the company.
