NXT Battleground to be held at UFC Apex

April 22, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Corporate synergy strikes again as the WWE announced that it will hold NXT Battleground Sunday, June 9th from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It will be the debut for WWE to hold an event at The Apex as the UFC and WWE are under the umbrella of TKO Group Holdings.

There has been criticism of events being held at The Apex due to its small capacity. Recently, guidelines were put in place earlier this month which detailed how friends and family could attend UFC events at the venue but would need to leave after their fighter’s matchup. The WWE press release indicated that limited tickets were available via its exclusive partner On Location (a company owned by Endeavor).

We’ll see how they will scale The Apex for the event. It could give an intimate feel for the event. Also, I would expect some crossover with UFC stars and maybe Dana White making an appearance.
