Pacific Legal Foundation activates around UFC 300

April 18, 2024 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

The UFC has an official law firm partner of the promotion in Morgan and Morgan. However, the Pacific Legal Foundation started its own campaign catering to the UFC’s large demo of conservatives and libertarians.

The law firm targeted UFC 300 as a start to a new advertising campaign entitled, “Fighting.” Touting itself as an organization that sues for government overreach, the company ran a commercial during the early prelims on ESPN.

The organization first started its campaign last week during UFC Fight Night at The Apex.

PLF’s vehicle fleet swarmed UFC’s Apex Event Center during UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Curtis 2 on April 6, 2024

They also had two billboards in Las Vegas displaying “Never Let the Government Win by Submission” and “Suing the Government since 1973.

I’m not sure what the media blitz is for and if they see UFC fighters or their fans as potential clients for government overreach. The UFC fans (and fighters) include a hefty amount that are anti-government and/or prefer less government. But, its hard to see the cash-in here. Certainly, Morgan and Morgan, a personal injury law firm has a viable reason to track down UFC fans for cases but this one seems a little harder.
