UFC International Fight Week receives $250K from Las Vegas tourism board

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority approved more than $1M in funding for “”three different sporting events in separate unanimous votes.”

The UFC is one of those events with $250,000 going to the promotion “tied to UFC 303” which occurs June 29th as part of UFC International Fight Week. According to the article, it is expected to draw 20,000 visitors to Las Vegas. The event is expected to have a $99 million economic impact on the city per the Review-Journal.

In addition, the board approved $500,000 for the NHL Draft which is being held at The Sphere June 28-29. It also invested $300,000 in the Mountain West Conference Basketball Tournament in 2025.
