The Legal Submission 79 takes a look at the NDA in the Vince McMahon-Janel Grant lawsuit. McMahon is being sued for alleged sexual misconduct and sexual trafficking.
Grant signed a nondisclosure agreement but her attorneys claim that the agreement is void. NDA’s are common in employment law but a federal law preventing employers using it to mute sexual misconduct claims could be argued here. In addition, the agreement is so broad and vague that it is unclear as to what “disclosures” Grant is prevented from doing. Obviously, the alleged misconduct but the agreement does not address it. Another issue here is the arbitration clause in the agreement which WWE will argue should be enforced and the case dismissed.
