UFC PPVs to remain the same for 2024

December 19, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

After increases to its PPVs in 2022 and 2023, the $79.99 price point will remain the same for 2024 according to a report from the Sports Business Journal.

Dana White has maintained that the decisions to raise PPV prices (which are in addition to the subscription price on ESPN+) are out of his hands and are the decisions made by ESPN.

According to the SBJ article, ESPN mays UFC around $300 million in annual rights fees. The UFC has been a driver for the digital platform since ESPN became the exclusive distributor for the promotion in 2019. The two will engage in renewal talks next year.

Notably, on Monday Sportico featured an article about Zuffa spearheading the efforts to curb illegal streaming of events. It included comments from UFC’s executive vice president and general counsel Riche T. McKnight in regard to his testimony before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet. The testimony before the subcommittee advocated reform to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.
