AEW Friday night ratings down against Smackdown

November 20, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

AEW Rampage, Collision and a Full Gear special were not enough to put a dent into Smackdown ratings this past Friday night.

AEW Collision which aired on Friday night instead of its usual Saturday due to the PPV, drew an average of 270,000 viewers. Rampage drew 10,000 more viewers at 280,000 viewers. A countdown special which recapped all of the storylines going into Full Gear drew 139,000 viewers.

In comparison, WWE SmackDown on Fox drew 2.206M viewers per Sports Media Watch. It drew 0.62 in the 18-49 demo. AEW Collision drew 0.09, AEW Rampage 0.08 and the countdown special 0.04.

In addition to WWE programming, AEW may have been hampered with College Football and Bellator 301 on Showtime.
