AEW Dynamite drew an average of 800K viewers per Nielsen via Sports TV Ratings. It was the lowest since May 3rd despite coming off of the WrestleDream PPV Sunday. The telecast drew 0.28 in the A18-49 demo on a night where the MLB Playoffs took most of the audience.
The telecast featured the debut of Adam Copeland (aka Edge) as he faced his old tag team partner Christian. Also, it saw the return of Wardlow. And, unfortunately a gaffe with production featuring a skit with Adam Cole and Roderick Strong which lacked audio the first time and was immediately replayed.
Despite the debut, the viewership was affected in part by the baseball games involving Miami-Philadelphia and Arizona-Milwaukee.
