The Sports Business Journal reports that this past weekend’s Gervonta Davis-Ryan Garcia fight drew 1.2 million PPV units. Also, it was the 5th highest gate in Nevada history with $22.8 million for the sellout at T-Mobile Arena.
The big fight saw Davis stop Garcia with a liver shot in the seventh round. The PPV aired on Showtime and DAZN and based on the numbers it was an outstanding success.

Payout Perspective:
The buy rate report and gate reflect the popularity of this matchup as well as the star power of Davis and Garcia. Even at a catchweight and not for a title, the matchup was one boxing fans wanted. This is a reflection of Davis’ ability as a boxer and general popularity of Garcia with a huge Mexican fan base.
