Power Slap second season off of TBS, moves to Abu Dhabi

March 14, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

MMA Fighting reports that Power Slap will not return to TBS for its second season. Instead, it will move to the Rumble streaming platform.

Dana White’s creation was heavily promoted on UFC social media and moved the UFC Fight Night event to another venue in Vegas this past Saturday so that the finals could take place at The Apex.

The shows on TBS followed the very popular AEW Dynamite. Despite the lead-in, Power Slap averaged 291,000 viewers.

Despite the heavy promotion, the demo reveals that the young adults did not gravitate to the “sport” as they did with MMA when it first began.

Yet, White stated that he’s moving Power Slap to Abu Dhabi and has a deal with Rumble for season two.

Payout Perspective:

It’s clear that this did not work out the way that White wanted. It didn’t help that it started with a huge PR disaster which showed that there was no adult in the room when Dana White slapped his wife. We will see if anyone picks up on this thing or if Endeavor will sink more money into this to save face, and not get slapped in it.
