Power Slap Finale moves to Rumble

February 27, 2023 by Jason Cruz Leave a Comment

Video-sharing platform Rumble will be the live sports distribution company for Power Slap 1, the finale for the Dana White-sponsored sport.

Via Power Slap

Via press release:

Rumble, the video-sharing platform (NASDAQ: RUM) today announced that Power Slap 1: Darius the Destroyer vs. Wolverine, the live finale of the flagship series Power Slap: Road to the Title, will be streamed exclusively on Rumble. The live finale event is a global stream, available to all fans worldwide for free, only on Rumble.

Originally, the finale of the Power Slap season 1 was to be on PPV, but has now pivoted to the video-sharing platform which has aired content for season 1.  What can we infer from the move?  Power Slap has been underwhelming.  Albeit, the last episode did bump up in overall viewership, it has not caught on. Obviously, White slapping his wife did not help the launch of the sport as TBS delayed the launch.
